The following list contains some of the more common government reporting requirements. Depending on operations and equipment located at your facility all of these could apply. We would provide whichever reporting is determined to be applicable at your facility. Remember, reporting is required by more than one regulating agency.

Do you currently have a wastewater discharge permit?
Do you submit reports to the local water authority?
Are you required to perform regular water testing from a discharge point?

Do you currently complete a Form-R Report? A Form-R Report is required to be completed for the EPA. It is used to list toxic chemicals that are released into the environment via air emissions, process water, hazardous waste streams, etc.

Do you currently complete a Release and Pollution Prevention Report (NJ Companies) or a Hazardous Waste Reduction Plan Report (NY Companies)? These reports are required to be completed for the State DEP. They are used to list waste treatment methods, pretreatment methods, volume/quantity discharged, quantities of hazardous materials on site, uses of the materials, disposal methods of the waste(s) generated and any pollution prevention activities or methods used to reduce the quantity(s) that is currently being released into the environment.

Do you currently complete a Tier I or Tier II Report (NY Companies) or Community Right-To-Know Report (NJ Companies)? These reports are required to be completed for the State DEP. They are used to list or inventory hazardous materials located on site.

Do you currently complete a Hazardous Waste Report? These reports are required to be completed for the State DEP. This report is used to track the type of waste generated, quantity of waste and where the waste was sent for disposal or treatment.

Do you currently have any air permits in place? Are your permits current?

Have you performed a fugitive emissions test in process areas where hazardous chemicals are used?

Do you have a file of at least five years including the current reporting year of the OSHA recordable injury/illness log on site?

The above list is not a complete listing of government required reporting. There are also Local and State requirements that may need to be implemented at your facility.

As your safety, health and environmental program manager, reporting requirements would be evaluated during the initial facility survey and audit.

Recommendations and a tentative schedule for completing reports are included with the audit report (if applicable).
